How to Buy a Tomorrowland NFT

No crypto expertise needed. Follow these 3 simple steps to buy your first Tomorrowland NFT on the Solana blockchain.

What is an NFT?

An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unique digital item that you truly own. Think of it like a digital concert ticket: each NFT is unique, verifiable, and belongs to you. Tomorrowland NFTs give you access to exclusive perks like giveaways and secret shows.

  • -A computer with Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge
  • -A small amount of SOL (Solana's currency, about $5-20 depending on the NFT)

Step 1: Create a Phantom Wallet

What is Phantom?

Phantom is a crypto wallet for Solana. It's a free browser extension, like an ad blocker or translator. This is where your NFTs and SOL will be stored.

  1. 1Go to phantom.app and click "Download"
  2. 2Install the extension for your browser (Chrome recommended)
  3. 3Click "Create a new wallet"
  4. 4Create a strong password
  5. 5IMPORTANT: Write down your secret phrase (12 words) on paper and keep it safe. NEVER share it with anyone. If you lose it, you lose access to your NFTs.

Tip: Your secret phrase is like the key to your safe. Write it on paper, not on your phone or computer.

Step 2: Buy SOL and Fund Your Wallet

What is SOL?

SOL is the currency of the Solana blockchain, like the dollar is the currency of the US. You need it to buy NFTs and pay small transaction fees (a few cents).

  1. 1Open Phantom by clicking the icon in your browser
  2. 2Click the "Deposit" button
  3. 3Phantom offers several options to buy SOL directly with your credit card (via MoonPay, Coinbase, etc.)
  4. 4Enter the amount you want in EUR/USD
  5. 5Follow the instructions to complete the purchase
  6. 6Your SOL will appear in your wallet within a few minutes

Tip: Plan a small extra amount (1-2 SOL extra) for transaction fees. They're very low on Solana (a few cents), but you need a minimum.

Alternative: Transfer from an exchange

If you already have SOL on an exchange (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken...), you can send it to your Phantom address. Click "Deposit" in Phantom, copy your Solana address, and use it as the withdrawal address on your exchange.

Step 3: Buy an NFT on Magic Eden

What is Magic Eden?

Magic Eden is the largest NFT marketplace on Solana. It's like eBay or Amazon, but for NFTs. You'll find all 3 Tomorrowland collections there.

  1. 1Go to magiceden.io
  2. 2Connect your Phantom wallet ("Connect Wallet" button in the top right)
  3. 3Search for the collection you want (e.g., "Tomorrowland")
  4. 4Browse available NFTs and choose the one you want
  5. 5Click "Buy Now" to purchase at the listed price
  6. 6Confirm the transaction in Phantom (a popup will appear)
  7. 7Your NFT will show up in your Phantom wallet under "Collectibles"
